Our Purpose

  • Women Mentoring Women

It is a well-established mentoring matter. A 2017 study by professional services firm Egon Zehnder found that only 54% of women have access to senior leaders who act as mentors or informal sponsors in their careers.

A new study from Ernst & Young (EY) found that America's most successful women entrepreneurs are finding financial success through building communities of support and becoming the role models they never had.

According to the 2012 US Census 39% of nationally, 37.5% of Indiana and .02% of St. Joseph County businesses are women-owned entrepreneurial designated businesses.

  • Entrepreneurship

Girls, college women, and women in low-income areas lack access to successful women entrepreneurs in their community to assist them along their career paths. They do not even see entrepreneurship as a career option. This is significant because the economic foundation of the U.S. rests on 89% of small businesses that employ less than 20 employees.

2014 Annual EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Impact Study most women report not having positive female role models in the entrepreneurial world and 60% of women entrepreneurs don’t have advisory boards to provide guidance.

  • Health Wellness

According to the UN Chronicle along with all international health agencies lifestyle diseases are on the rise. Lifestyle diseases share risk factors similar to prolonged exposure to three modifiable lifestyle behaviors -- smoking, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity -- and result in the development of chronic diseases, specifically heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and some types of cancer. This is due to these obstacles: health, wellness nutrition education, access to healthy foods, and lack of awareness of local and federal programs.
